We've been busy as usual getting on with exciting progress at the Burnley Empire. Recent work includes new survey work and an extra helping hand from Jubb Clews who have gotten to know the historic building quite well through their work.
Earlier this year we was awarded a grant from Theatres Trust to carry out surveys throughout the stage house in light of the positive stage house viability study in order to build new information and move forward.
The stage house has only recently become accessible through stabilisation works funded by the Shared Prosperity Fund which enabled us to remove hazards and decontaminate the area.
Thanks to donations from the public through our Raise For the Roof campaign we are now in talks with consultants to decide how the monies can be best spent to make a positive difference to the stage house area.
